PRICE :

A 30 ml bottle costs only P600 which is surprisingly cheap considering it’s a product by L’oreal and competes with other liquid foundations at much higher price points. It’s pretty easy to find as True Match is available literally everywhere.

PACKAGING :

The liquid foundation comes in a small lightweight bottle, which is great for toting around inside your makeup kit. It doesn’t come with a spatula, neither does it have a pump. So you need to buy a separate makeup spoon thingy to scoop it out for hygienic purposes. Seriously though, why do they make them in these bottles?

SHADES AND CONSISTENCY :

Well, one of the selling points for this product is that it has a shade to match all skin tones, so finding the right one for you won’t be a problem. As for me, I’m going to be using a warm tone of Nude Beige W3.

Here’s a swatch of Nude Beige W3 under artificial lighting.

The product itself is Oil-free, and you can instantly tell because of its watery consistency that it’s going to be lightweight and easy to spread. It’s actually quite runny, tbh.

APPLICATION :

Okay, it’s time to put this little monster to the test!

Loreal True Match

Bare Face – As you can see, I have shit ton of sun spots and my freckles are starting to show. Someone needs to hide from the sun, quick. Plus points because it has SPF 17 🙂

One Layer – I was right. This liquid foundation is watery. On the upside, this means it’s going to be easy to spread unto the entire face and it feels so light, it’s barely there. Downside, I’m gonna need more than one layer to hide my skin imperfections. Drying time didn’t take too long, it actually set quickly which is just about right.

Two Layers – Finally, some coverage! Even after applying the second layer, my face didn’t feel heavy at all. It’s still super light, like you’re not wearing foundation.

COVERAGE AND FINISH :

Right as advertised, the coverage is Light to Medium, and has a Natural Matte finish. It feels natural too! No icky sticky feeling here. However, I think it could do a lot better in terms of coverage because after applying two layers, I can still see signs of my sun spots.

STAYING POWER :

I’m happy to report that the L’oreal True Match Super Blendable Liquid Foundation stayed on the whole day! 🙂 It’s super long wearing. If you’re going to be exposed to sun and sweat, or if you have naturally oily skin, you’re gonna have to retouch later in the day but overall, the liquid foundation stays on.

PROS :

  • The price is generally affordable at just P600 a bottle which you can probably use 1-2 months on the daily
  • Easily available in most department stores and Watson’s
  • Has SPF 17 for added sun protection (but don’t skip your real sunblock!)
  • Natural feel, lightweight, matte finish
  • Long wearing
  • Tons of shades to match your own skin tone

CONS :

  • The packaging (i’m seriously having issues with just bottles…)
  • Light coverage only, Medium at most

THE VERDICT :

If you’re looking for an everyday liquid foundation, then this just might be for you. I can definitely see myself using this on a daily basis when I need light coverage and just switching to a thicker foundation for special occasions. Overall, I’m happy I tried L’oreal True Match Super Blendable Liquid Foundation with SPF. I might just finish the whole bottle! 🙂

Thanks for reading this review and I hope this helps! Feel free to share your insights and product recommendations, I’d love to hear from you guys!

Til next!

xoxo
